Perfect for me on my own , needing a reset of mind and body. Very quite due to time of year

The staff are all 5 star ++ from chamber maids upwards. The food is excellent.

The Hotel is listed as 5 star. The hotel is but the bedroom are not, they are tired and need attention

Lovely hotel, with excellent facilities on the beach. Helpful staff.

Lovely hotel. Many facilities which we couldn't use as it was in January. Such as the outdoor pool. Very close to beach which was lovely. The self-service restaurant was excellent for breakfast, and there was a good deal on dinner over three days with drinks included. Very helpful and charming staff. Brilliant location, nearby restaurants

We had two miner problems with the rooms. The beds had a hard plasticised sheet under the top cover which made sleeping on it, unpleasant and hot. We complained mildly and this was quickly removed. We asked for a mat for the bath as we found it slippy when we had a shower. Unfortunately no matts were available in the whole hotel so they moved us to a room with a walk-in shower. We were impressed that the staff quickly and charmingly responded to a complaints. The pool area was cool and didn't support us hanging about after a sauna.

Size of the room, all the facilities, pool, and location.

The mattress of the bed was way too soft (my parent's opinion), and the sofa bed should be a comfortable and real sofa bed, but it was super small and not comfortable at all for an adult.

Nice hotel but sauna/Turkish bath not working as expected. Staff not willing to help. Too small slippers.

Direct access to the beach. We had our room upgraded which was nice. Good breakfast with mimosas included.

Staff was not very helpful. They never took any action or follow up on our queries. Sauna was barely working and Turkish bath had one of the steam dispositions broken. We notified the staff but this was never taken care of. One of the receptionist even claimed that the sauna was working all the time which was not true. Well….1.5h after switching it on was also not true. The slippers that we got were more or less size 36/37 and the receptionist didn’t think that there was anything weird about it and claimed that this is the regular, one fits all size. The next day we ask about sauna/Turkish bath the staff is surprised like nobody ever took a note of our query.

The dinner can be improved, poor choices for kids, the bread, crisps and some toasts were stale, the pasta poor cooked, the bolognese only sauce…the fresh fruit not so fresh.

Luxurios resort for a totally comfortable and relaxed time off.

It's an excellent overall experience, especially when you've been upgraded to a bigger room! Divine restaurant and bar; incredibly delicious breakfast with fresh omelettes and pancakes made it on the spot. Astonishing location, just right on Alvor beach, one of the best in Algarve. Outstanding facilities within the resort. PS. You would appreciate more the stay in the low season, though. I'm not sure what it'd look like in a sold-out situation.

The water in the indoor swimming pool wasn't as warm as advertised, and the sauna and steam room didn't work correctly. No sign of the SPA pool.

A very relaxing holiday in a paradisaical setting

The location is stunning. The pool is large and there are plenty of sunbeds. The hotel lives up to the photos on the booking.com website. Reception staff polite and helpful. Bar staff efficient and friendly. Very good buffet dinner

Breakfast had plenty of variety, though the quality was not always 5 stars. The coffee was appalling and took a long time to come to the table. The staff at breakfast were not always helpful - mainly due to language communication problems.

Great location, friendly staff. The relaxed atmosphere was welcome with the 11 a.m. breakfast. The rooms were very clean and well-maintained. The breakfast choice was excellent.

I found the piano player at breakfast quite annoying. The rules around the pool regarding towels were nonexistent. I had to be up at 7.30 to get a seat by the pool. People that left towels didn't use them all day. It was a pity when others were looking to use them.

Nice hotel but needs updating to reflect the 5 star status

It has a nice pool and located right beside the beautiful beach

1. There was never any free beds at the pool (people reserve them with towels and don’t appear for hours!) not good enough as we had to go to the beach most days and pay for beds 2. The rooms are not cleaned sufficiently! We had to ask for more towels and conditioner 3. It’s definitely not 5 star standard. The price we paid should reflect better quality 4. You have to get a taxi to Alvor as it’s a little out but it’s not that expensive 5. There is not enough choice for dining in the evening so we chose to eat out every night

The facilities are awesome. The main swimming pool is great very big and seems very clean. Breakfast was very good and also the dinner at the hotel.

If you are looking for private beach access, it is a good option.

The staff was super helpful and very friendly.

The facilities are quite old and in need of renovation. The room service menu after 10pm is absolutely horrible. Given that that particular service is one of the reasons for the attribution of a fifth start, it was utterly disappointing.

Very Good

Fantastic position, direct access to the beach, amazing view, close to turistic attractions and golf courses. Rooms at 6th floor have an amazing view on the sea.

Hotel needs some renovation for beeing a 5 starts hotel, but in general was nice. The service at bar and restaurant needs to be improved. If you open a room account, the pool bar acqua restaurant charges hidden 10% of tips always, without asking or telling you, very bad practice.

A classical choice

The hotel is a classic and you won't find any better in the surrounding space. The breakfast is amazing and the staff is always there to help

It's a bit old. You can see some age signs inside the rooms. You will be a bit out of town and need a car or a lot of walking (3Km) to get to the main points of the town.
